Hobbies. Somehow, I seem to have a lot of interests. I'm a motorhead, but
I've never had much interest in muscle cars. In fact, in over a quarter-century
of driving, I've only ever owned one American car. Strange.
I
got started playing with little British cars years ago. This Spitfire has been
my favorite.
VW Vanagon Wow, man.
I have a 1971 Westfalia that I used to drive all over. It is not running - and
also not here. What you will find here is a 1982 Vanagon. Not exactly a hippy
van, but it is fun. Interestingly, the Westfalia taught me that you didn't
really have to go zoomin' down the road all the time to have a good time.

In 1988 I got my first Land Rover and realized that all those years fooling
around with little British cars was a waste. With a Land Rover, I could have
enjoyed all the quirks of British cars and have something big enough to haul
things around and go just about anywhere. Not that I didn't enjoy the sports
cars. I found I liked the Landy more.
The latest hobby. I've got a sailboat. It is a project. Check out this page
